Stowarzyszenie Sprintu Samochodowego
Stowarzyszenie Sprintu Samochodowego (Polish Drag Racing Association) is an organization that gathers voluntary members who act in favour of motorization. Its establishment resulted from the initiative of people interested in motorization and - most of all - tuning and drag racing.
The whole idea originated some years ago from the accidental meetings, during which the fist tuning fans could present their cars. In the beginning car modifications and their achievements were not very spectacular. But later on the inventions and modifications were more and more interesting, and they began to be connected with the engine mechanical tuning. There appeared a need to check and compare the modifications. A newly formed circle came across an obstacle, that car tests and races on the public roads are illegal, and what is more - dangerous, if you do not have a racetrack or a separated test road.
In such way, the most involved people interested in tuning and drag racing have established Stowarzyszenie Sprintu Samochodowego.
Goals of the SSS:
- propagation of knowledge and motorization culture,
- working for the benefit of road safety increase,
- developing mass and record-seeking motor sports, especially 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile, 1 mile, 200 meters, 400 meters, 1000 meters and 1600 meters drag racing,
- protection of legal rights and interests of drivers.
The SSS would like to prove that people, who like fast driving do not necessarily have to bring about dangerous situations on public roads. We intent to make it possible for our members to check theirs skills under safe conditions. The SSS wishes to organise car meetings, during which drag races will take place, without breaking the law and exposing our and other people's lives to danger.
The SSS will act in favour of drag racing propagation in Poland, as a safe sport, allowing for voluntary competition on friendly basis and nice way to spend our free time.
Join us! Together it will be easier to fulfil our statutory goals.
